DOG YARD RECORDS is working to support Alaska's musicians to build successful careers at home while promoting our one-of-a-kind music scene to global audiences. We are a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit record label and community advocacy and resource hub. DYR started in 2019 when Andrew and Henry screen printed some hoodies designed by Wes for us to wear on tour in the Lower 48. Then COVID happened. Then in 2022, we threw an all-ages show in the backyard. It was super fun and somebody called it "Dog Yard Fest". So we did it again the following year and raised over $1k to start the new record label. Thank you to all who donated! In 2023 we became a registered music publisher, formed a nonprofit corporation and board of directors, and filed for 501c3 tax exempt status. Dog Yard Records is a project of ACE, an Alaskan nonprofit corporation, EIN 93-2424976.
